An advanced piece of equipment designed to enhance your situational awareness. Halcyon's Symbios Tank Pod works seamlessly with both the Symbios Handset and Symbios HUD dive computers, wirelessly transmitting critical data, including real-time gas pressure and diver orientation.
You get advanced features, such as a high-resolution digital pressure sensor and a 3-axis accelerometer, which provides precise information. This data is transmitted via a unique 125 kHz magnetic carrier protocol which ensures a smooth flow of information, even when multiple wireless devices are being used at once. For convenience, the unit can be mounted directly to a first stage or a short hose and is powered by a user-replaceable CR123 battery.
One of the Symbios tank pod's most notable features is the ability to monitor your body's horizontal position in the water. Using a built-in 3-axis accelerometer, the tank pod continuously measures the vector of Earth's gravity to calculate the pitch and roll of your dive. This data is then sent to the Symbios computer, which processes the data to provide constant feedback on the diver's orientation. By being able to see tilt in real time, you can make small adjustments to their weighting and posture to achieve a more balanced and streamlined position. This is particularly beneficial for technical and cave divers, as well as underwater photographers, who require precise control and manoeuvrability.
Maintaining a good trim position is crucial for efficiency and safety. By reducing drag, a streamlined body position helps divers conserve both energy and air. The Symbios system makes it easy to calibrate the trim sensor on the surface with a simple two-step process, ensuring accurate readings during the dive.

The Halcyon Tank Pod is not only a wireless tank pressure transmitter, but also contains advanced positioning technology, allowing you to receive real-time information about your trim position in the water.
The Tank Pod may be used on any first stage to transmit tank pressure and/or trim position to your Halcyon Symbios computer. By using a Halcyon Symbios computer you can also read the pressure of nearby dive buddies. When not using the trim position feature, you can easily rotate the battery, and the unit will only transmit tank pressure data.
